  • 2015 Lincoln Cent DDO new variety?

Hello, found this pretty little Lincoln a few weeks back and couldn't find a DDO match, what do you folks think?

The LIBERTY might have some extra thickness. The photos are too blurry for me.
Is there any other doubling on the obverse, like in IN GOD WE TRUST or the date?

It may be listed at http://varietyvista.com or https://coppercoins.com

Those pictures wont help. Your best bet is to try to find a match with markers. Try taking pics with your phone

Yeah, I have checked all of them. I have a die chip on Reverse similar to 032 on shield with notching on Liberty similar to 025 and a die chip similar in size to shield chip, in Lincolns hair. I just cant find a match. I guess I will have to wait for new camera to get everyones opinion.

The lettering does look thick but that's not always an indication of a doubled die. I looked at your pics and didn't see any kind of notching or distortion either. This may just be a normal die.

I looked over the Wexler listings, and the two die markers are not shown for any of the dies. However, it does look possible it may be a later die stage of WDDO-015. Try and see if there is the die dot pictured below the 20 of the date. Coppercoins and VV definitely don't list it.

It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!

I looked over those, no marker below the 20. Thanks for looking.

This is definitely a DDO. The notching is on the lower left of the RTY. You still need to work on the photos a bit. It is almost impossible to attribute it this way though.
