    1966 silver DDR quarter

    Hi All,
I got a 1966 no mint mark from a $20 bill to $20 quarters exchange for our laundry. I looked at it under a microscope and found suspicious DDR on United States of America. Would I get some advice if this is a DDR? All letters look fat and spread ends. I've attached some pictures here. I thank you in advance to those who will provide me the advice.

Based on the photos you included, I could not identify any doubled die. Fat (or extra thick lettering) has many causes including worn dies and circulation wear and/or damage. I think that is what you have here.

I thank you for the advice since I am so new to identify varieties. Anyway, it weighs 5.73 (after calibration my 2 scales), and I think it a silver with some sort of BU on it as well. Again thanks.

        Still a nice find!
I'd take sliver at face value any day!

1966 quarters were clad. They were not silver.
