1943 D - LWC - schooling needed RPM

Hi. I found this in my fun roll and need some help.

Does this appear to be an RPM? I was able to overlay 1943D-1MM-021and 008 fairly closely but the markers are not quite matching. I would like an opinion on whether this is even an RPM at all. Thank you.

I take it no split serif(s) ?
I am also wondering if there is any separation in the middle of the D to the top left hand side ?

There appears to be a die chip on the " 1" in date.

It looks like the vertical bar of The D took a hit, probably post mint.
There might be a ghost image of a D to the NW of the primary, but its probably just a stain.

I'm gonna have to look at this on the PC.
Two screens makes it easier to attribute when each has its own screen.

With the two photos shown above, I cannot see anything that makes it a RPM.
Check the hole of the D for any separation near the top left, and any split serifs.

Morning.. Steel cents have a lot of metal flow that can give the appearance of something going on in any direction. The die may have been damaged giving the planchet that rippled affect around the east side edge of the mintmark. I don't think this one is an RPM.. Sorry..

Although markers are important, they will not always appear. It depends on the stage as well. If some one has a stage that is undocumented, or in between documented stages per se, it could be an RPM. Again as you know, the mint mark placement and matchup is key, probably followed by the markers/pick-up-points.

It seems like your sated with the answer of No, it is not a RPM, but if you have some extra time and want to shine some light on them notched areas, and snap a photo, I'd be willing to look a little closer. Just take a clear/focused picture as you can, if you wish to pursue this further. If not, thats is OK too.

Hi MintErrors I hope I was able to shine some light on that area. Hard to catch without glare so hopefully the closeups helpful. I am still not sure myself! But I did find a spike on the bust while photographing the markers! Also, I am attaching full obverse and reverse to show it is such a nice coin.

Awesome photos. The coin is a beauty, I agree. The ghost area is probably metal flow as another poster suggested. The ghost image is distorted, in my opinion, the ghost image is much wider to the south east than anywhere else. That is probably just a die slipping a tad during the strike.

Unfortunately, I personally do not see enough to call this a RPM.
