I am looking at a brilliant 1955 Washington Proof Quarter. I put this coin aside years ago and have it maked DDO-003. I see extra thickness in all of the lettering on the obverse plus the date and designers initials. I can't get a handle on this one and need a hand. The more I look the more confused I get. Anyone? Thoughts or comments?

( I like all varieties but don't seek out quarters like I do Lincolns.)
I'm not seeing your quarter as that variety. There are a number of reasons.
On the variety, there is a noticeable curve to the bottom left of the N (IN).
I don't see any separation on the R (LIBERTY) like is visible on the VV images.
I'm just not sure if the separation on IGWT is from a Doubled die or from master die doubling. -
