CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    1914 P Buffalo - DDO-001?

I apologize if you’ve seen this on CT or CAC Forums, but I’m trying to figure out if this coin is the DDO or not. It’s graded AU55 by PCGS; is it worth sending to CONECA or James Wiles for attribution?

I just cant tell. Do you see the light spread south on the nostril and eyelid? If you can't see the doubling, you can not attribute it to DDO-001.

James Wiles does not attribute for CONECA any more. Our lead attributer (Jason Cuvelier) would determine if this is worth sending in to for possible confirmation/attribution to Variety Vista.

Sorry, those don't help much. I do not see any hub doubling. I can see some MD though, especially on the nose.
