2003 P LMC DDR
I've been trying to attribute this 2003 P DDR, (my skills are minimal at best) and I haven't been able to find a match. The closest I have found is 2003P-1DR-002 on Coppercoins, but only because of the die chip in Bay 1 of the Memorial. This example would have to be a later die stage than the one pictured on CC because of its size. Only guessing here and the problem is the doubling on the 7th column doesn't match that coin. That year had a lot of DDRs it seems, (die markers too) and after searching DD, VV and CC, I can't seem to match up the doubling on Lincoln, the 7th column, etc. Haven't found a die marker that matches either, except for the location of the chip. I know Bob is the expert with these and was hoping he could point out all the stuff I missed. Could send it in too if that would help. Thanks!Tags: None

There are literally hundreds and hundreds of these doubled column doubled dies out there, and there is little doubt that they have not all been attributed. When I was attributing these, we have to make a determination on what was and was not listable. If the anomaly was not at least as long as one of the statue's arms, it was considered too minor. A lot of these also included doubled knees, legs etc.
You are correct in that this one is not listed on coppercoins or Variety Vista that I could see. However, I think I found it on Wexler's site as 2003 1c WDDR-002. Here is the link for the page:

Remember that you should always match the doubling and location first. Markers can happen at any time, so don't be surprised if you can't find matching markers.
