1954 ROOSEVELT PROOF, FS-10-1954-101, DDO-001?
I am looking at a 1954 Roosevelt Proof Dime. The coin is graded by NGC and the holder makes it hard to see the mint mark. The pictures are similar to DDO-001 on VV. The following 'Stage A' Die Markers are present on the subject coin - Die chip below 4 of date – EDS, Strong lower J of designer's initials, Die scratch in field Southwest from eyebrow & Reverse is EDS. Thoughts or comments?Tags: None

Kinda hard to argue that yours is not DDO-001. Based on what I am seeing, it certainly looks like a good attribution. Do the rest of the obverse devices show the extra thickness as mentioned on VV? The bottom bar of the E in LIBERTY should be a dead giveaway on this variety.Bob Piazza

Hello Bob, Here are some additional pics of the obverse lettering. I must admit I am unclear as to the significance of the 'E'. Please point it out to me. Thanks in advance for the help. Cheers, Bruce.Attached Files- 1954 Roosevelt Proof - DDO-001 - NGC 5715748-038-2 (1).jpg (64.9 KB, 31 views)

Lincoln Cents show this 'ski-slope' effect very well the E of WE on class 6 doubled dies. It can be quite dramatic on some examples.
