CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I phone pictures, tried cropping them the best I could. I suggest that you enlarge the picture on you end then you will see small vdb initials of this new verity clear.

Surely you jest? You ask someone for their opinion, which they do as a courtesy, they give you a reply and even a suggestion on how to improve your end to help them accommodate you and then you tell them what they have to do with their donated time to meet your demand. Amazing.

In 1918 artist at the mint restored the vdb initials to the coin. Reverse wheat ears flanking One Cent United States Of America. The motto: E. Pluribus Unum on the top perimeter the designers vdb appear on bottom periphery. I believe that this example, the small vdb initials engraved periphery at bottom base as is this example. And it doesn’t display any wear from circulation.
