CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I have this in my collection as 1 MM 09, however after looking at it today I think it could be an unlisted.. The S design and location
    are my question, Thanks

The MM on your LWC looks to far south to match up with the 009. Not sure if it is even a RPM. Just looks off. In my opinion only

Agreed, in my opinion, it is not coppercoins 009, or any of them listed.

To me it looks like machine doubling, add in that this coin is circulated, makes it tougher to convince me its an RPM. I too am human and make mistakes, but PNWMAKES hit it on the head, it does look off.

If you look at the top part of that "S" both the primary and potentially secondary one, in order for those to match up, would mess up the appearance of the bottom of that mintmark, which appears to be just one complete mintmark.

In other words, if you raised that lower northern area up to the same height as the rest, it would look like one normal "S".

Look here, the appearance of that S is not one they used in 1941.
That means it either damaged or they used the wrong punch.

The "4" shows damage as well .
It's on the corner of the 4, as well as the far right of the horizontal cross bar.

Should you wish to do so you can ask a CONECA attributer to look at this.
Go to the main forms are, go to CONECA SERVICES and then look for attribution area.
Attributions are for potential varieties and examinations are for errors.
Make sure you write up as much info as you can, and have good clear photos.
If you turn the coin for additional photos, try to keep them at 90 degree turns so people can down load them and analyze the mintmark.

I agree with both members above.
The end of the upper curve of the 9 is showing MD as well.

This thread is an example of why it is helpful to post a clear image of both sides of the coin. Often there are clues on one or both sides that can help to determine whether a coin might be an error, variety, PSD, or something else.

There is nothing wrong with your current pictures. In my opinion

Pnw has a neat photo about how to take better photos with a cell phone. It boils down to finding a 8x8x8 inch box, and a bottle cap. I have a mock photo of what it looks like..

Additionally, if you taking photos with a device that does auto focusing and it is in a plastic holder or mylar, the focusing will be off as it will focus on the holder and not the coin itself. Best coin shots are raw coins. If it is slabbed, it just takes time to get clear photos

Thanks for the extra images. All of your images are pretty clear.

I was hoping the extra image might show the MD (as opposed to it being PSD) that seems to be present on the top curve of the 9 in the first image.
Sometimes an image of a slightly larger area can add information that a closeup can't.
