CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1988 P Quarter??

I found this about a week ago. It has all the bells and whistles of the 1965 FS-101- FS-026 DDO. Only difference is it also shows some doubling on the reverse side as well. I believe this may be discovery piece. I need to get this in someone's hands to really go over it and be absolutely certain of what it is regardless of the outcome. And possibly "Hopefully" attributed for grading.

Looks like machine doubling to me. see how the doubling on the L takes away from the width of the horizontal pasrt of the L. And how it is shelf like. If I was on my other computer I have a nice graphic showing the differences. Thi is my opinion only. Also Variety Vista shows no DDO's for this date.

Definitely not a doubled die. I agree that this is MD.
