1943-S Jefferson DDO
Sorry about the wrong date in the previous post. These photos are of a 1943-S. The obverse looks like a DDO-002, the reverse does not. Does this look like a DDO to anyone else? The DDO-002 has die scratches on Jeffersons collar. 1943-S 001.jpg 1943-S 002.jpg 1943-S 005.jpg 1943-S 006.jpgTags: None

I removed the original post for you..
Can you add the photo's of IGWT - Date and star and the REV to this post?
I looked at the photo's of DDO-002 and the doubling does seem to appear to be close. - Yes this coin is a DDO.
Your coin appears to have a few light swirling die scratches above the Motto, Date and Liberty that to me appear to be a LEDS Late Early Die State to EMDS Early Mid Die State OBV Die. The REV photo's you posted in the other post - please re upload - Have a die break above the right roof, a die crack Monticello steps to rim - right side and heavy die wear lines to the left of Monticello towards the rim of a VLDS - Very Late Die State REV Die. The REV die could have been changed to the die in Dr. Wiles's photo's after your coin was minted.
The coin would need to be seen for an in hand examination.
I hope this somewhat helps..
Eric

It never occurred to me that changing the reverse die was even a possibility. That would explain a lot.
