  • 1946S WALKING LIBERTY HALF...RPM?

Hello CONECA, I am looking at at stunning 1946 S Walking Liberty half. I am looking at the mint mark. I do not see any RPM like this one. The coin also has an anomaly at the 'B' in 'E P U'. I do not see any other die markers. Thoughts or comments?

i don't see any rpm on the large size trueview and the thing in the B is connected to the machine doubling i also see on other devices in that image.

i'm just posting this for the convenience of others. not the sharpest trueview i've ever seen but it should do.

Hello occnumis2021, Thanks for the input. When I first saw the 'S', the first thing that came to my mind was MDD. But I combed the reverse and the only other possible MDD I saw was the anomaly at the 'B' in 'E P U'. I am not convinced that the anomaly is not a struck through fiber or something. Could the MDD be only on the mint mark? I would most def like to examine the coin in hand with better optics. However the bid is $400 and not done yet so there is no chance that is happening! Thoughts of comments?

i can see the mdd on the motto to the east on several letters at least. at least it appears that way from the image/trueview.

there is a very slim chance it is an rpm, unfortunately, for me anyway, i'd need clearer pics to be certain.

variety vista has one that looks similar but it is a different mm style - http://varietyvista.com/10%20Walking...946SRPM002.htm

the rpm on the site is a trumpet tail (i think) and yours is a ball serif.

yw. i corrected my post saying the mdd is visible to the east, not west on the motto and maybe other devices in-hand.
