Greetings Forum, I wanted to share this coin because of the many posted questions about RPM`s and DD. This is one of my favorite type of Varieties because of it being a Dual Variety, yes two for one deal, many have stated the other forums I contribute for that a Dual variety is very rare find and event. The frequency of this type of Variety is more common than most novice collectors and even some old timer collectors may think and I would love to share a fantastic resource
from an Admin and Coin Expert from another forum I also contribute to. Compiled by PETE APPLE (And Chris Rhodes) "witch gave me their blessing in mentioning them here" had created a fine body of work through their independent resource gathering of this Variety`s history, this is the link to their body of work, so save its link and enjoy when possible the reading of that material. https://adventuresincrh.blogspot.com...4AMwRv27ftcEwk
So please let me know what you think about this specimen of a "Dual Variety" especially like to hear from those new to this wonderful hobby.
This specimen is in a Stage B Light spread on IN GOD WE with medium rotational spread on BERTY of LIBERTY.

Very nice coin and great photo's!! I wish all the photo's we see were clear and close up like these. Notice I said ""I Wish"" They need to be like this so everyone can give an accurate reply. Thank You

I would like to add: Folks like to add RARE to something they maybe only find one or two copies of.
Rarety depends on how long the die was in service and where/which central bank the coins were released to, then how many are still floating around in bags, rolls and collections. I add Rare very few times on my site, because I may only see one or two coins in my lifetime, But Steve in Seattle, Washington may find the same die variety in every 50 rolls. What i'm getting at. The word RARE on a die variety listing shouldn't be added. Just my two cents. - This comment above is in general - not related to the posted link.

Appreciate your comments, and YES if only OP`s could work better on Photography of Coins it would be much easier to asses what is going on with them.
Correct on the RARE thing, it is the most abused word in the hobby now do to the multitude of scammers, like Ebay is awash with. I have coins that are fairly rare in quantity, but do not have a value one might think, this is in part of "Popular Demand" more so than "Supply and Demand " we had a lengthy thread on this subject at another forum and was quite an interesting thinking session. Well thanks again and lets see if any other comments come from this.

Nice coin. I have a box dedicated to just 1957D's and I have no idea how many of these are in there, but it's less than a half a tube.

My only opinion on the rarity side is this.... with CONECA dropping the overall rarity scale that James Wiles had included with the master list, it's as if each variety at this point is equal. Most of the slabbed candidates have a slim chance at having a census or population numbers, but the chances are higher if they had an FS number. It's something I addressed with Jason C. But it probably fell off the list with so many other projects to be done.

I took a look in my tubes, looks like 15 between stage A and stage D, then another 6 on my website, So I have 21 not including the 3 I have in my type set.
So I have 24 total. That is from the midwest.

I agree with you on the FS listings, its why I try to seek them out the most. thank you for input on the slabbed issue for I have been wondering much about this.
I will post a coin that has some Coneca history of interest, and will enjoy hearing from you and others on it. Thanks Again Randy

I will see if I can get an accurate count here in a few days. I will have to travel to the storage unit to grab the box. I am on the east coast.
