CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    1987 D Lincoln cent RPM?

I have checked multiple variety sites looking for this rpm and cannot find it. Does anyone else know of this rpm?

In my opinion, this is not a RPM. The area south and east looks like the working dies hit the zinc planchet too hard, violating the thin copper layer. The area below that copper layer is zinc, and when it leaks out over time it usually will stain the coin a deep color.

Variety vista has known examples of RPMs. Here is a link:

      Hello Joeskarateshop,
Another issue is all the marks around the mintmark and the press marks at the 3 oclock position above the mintmark. I would say this is "PMD" Post mint damage also.
      Sorry,
      Eric
