1959 D 1-Cent. Woody. Is it a woody?
I have progressed over the last year in as much as now I can distinguish a woody from that of a coin with roller lines. If this is indeed a woody. I am 99.9% sure. But in a couple more years when Im on the CONECA Board ill be even better at the identification attribution analysis. Just kidding. Im sure CONECA is lol.Tags: None

This 1915-D was one of the best wood grained coins i've ever owned. Wood grained or ""Woody"" is just a difference in color: 1915-D-RPM#1-ANACSAU53-Slab-M.M..jpg 1915-D-RPM#1-ANACSAU53-Slab-OBV.jpg

Hello Eric,
J. L. here.
Regarding this post. Do you agree that the vast majority of wood grained looking Lincoln are found in Early Lincolns?
I don’t recall ever coming across one in the 1950’s and on.
All the Best,
John
