CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    2016d penny with error!

    Please help to identify this 2016d shield penny I just found from coin rolls hunting! Please anyone can tell me if it worthy to grading!!?

    It appears there is some environmental substance on the coin, like glue. IMO PMD

      Shane is correct about this being glue. The second profile you are seeing is what the glue was holding together, and that was another Lincoln cent. If you soak this coin in some acetone, that glue should come off.
