CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

1st of all I'd like to apologize for posting a stabbed coin & WON'T do it again if not allowed plus I tried to give best pictures I could thru plastic but I'm a little confused on why it was even labeled an error in the 1st place. I see a die crack or is it a delam by the 1st feather on the head and a die gouge on the nose. I was under the impression that these forms of error/flaws are not either errors or if are then not worth the effort for whatever reason. So, if these are errors then these this occurred after blanking/planchet process but before rinse/annealing process if I learned correctly from the mint videos?
How would one go about a value on this item? Regular coin value + degree of error or what?
1 last question if one chooses to send in a coin(s) to CONECA for the $6 evaluation fee and the said coin(s) are legitimate do they get sent to 3rd party grading from there or are they sent back to owner with some form of COA/provenance?

"I CAN'T SAY IT ENOUGH THANK YOU EVERYONE 4 UR HELP & UNDERSTANDING!"

In my opinion ion, die cracks happen quite frequently, since the expected end of service life for the working die(s) is very near, or exceeded.

CONE A staff typically frown on values in the forum. Prices can vary greatly between people in different regions.

Typically, you would post this in the CONECA SERVICES area, under EXAMINATIONS. The examiner will determine if they need to see it in hand in order to give their assessment.

Typically the person sends the coin into a 3rd party grading service. If I was sending coins in I might have them put a note onto the form so they send the coins to a Coneca approved examiner. There are a handful of decent people out there, some do only errors, some do errors and varieties, some fo just varieties.

An already slabbed coin means the person did not want to pay the high prices associated that the TPGS for examination, authentication, grading and slabbing the coin. That can be costly , between 50 to 100 bucks on a non slabbed (raw) coin. It's still pricey if they do a reholder and change the label. Plus their return postage can be an additional 25 bucks or so, depending on insurance value of the coin(s) sent in.

You might be able to get CONECA to send a letter referencing the coin and certification number, and state their finding. That's a question for the CONECA staff.
