CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Am I allowed to talk about grading such as is this a FB and in 63-66 range?
You do not have permission to view this gallery.

In my opinion, the middle band is not a full split band. CONECA frowns on raw coin grading in the forum. They dont seem to mind grade talk if the are slabbed by a well known third party grading service.

There appears to be some light wear on the reverse. Typically when FSB designation is given, it has to be at least MS60. The only exceptions that I know is, the 1916D and the 1942/1. I THINK those can be as low an AU.

If you decide to ask other forums, they'd probably be reluctant to offer a grade unless they see full obverse and reverse photos. Grading is at best subjective.
They grade the obverse and then the reverse. Then they average the two grades. They follow the ANA grading standards. If one side is ugly with bag marks, stains or other condition, I am sure they might cap the grade since one side may be lower and the coin may not worthy of a higher grade.

That makes sense . 1 last question on the FB I thought it had to be separation between bands on upper and lower ring but middle was optional on mercs and of course Roosevelt's only have 2. I see what you're saying about reverse my photos still need work it really is nicer than the photo shows. I have a ANA book and that's exactly what I do is set the coin next to picture and compare. I just wanted to see what was what on here beings I only paid $12 for it and was just seeing if it was maybe 5x or 6x profit maybe. But I will refrain from posting anymore.

        Research on Google. Something like
        full split band requirements.

If the coin has three bands, it has three bands, if some one suggests that one is optional, then check the resources and then you know whether to trust the source who told you about the optional comment.

You can find the answers to a lot of your questions by the companies who make the rules on these things. Of the 3rd parties, i believe NGC writes more grading articles.

          IN MY OPINION...
I think you have the "teacher's touch" on how to explain things to people. I tried the play doh experiment and now have a better understanding of double dies and how they come to be. Great website !!!
