In my opinion, its a pretty worn mint mark. With wear and damage to a possible mint mark, it then boils down to the mint mark placement. That will give a solid reference on whether it matches a known example or not.

It looks like some of the mint mark to the north west was removed by damage. With a good amount of wear and the inconsistency to actually see any solid proof of a RPM, I will have to see if there are any listings at:

Ive been doing projects around house. Saturday, my neighbor, my son and I did some stump grinding. Man it was hot on Saturday and Sunday... 85F. There was one tree stump about 4 feet across and a dozen more that were coffee cup saucer in size. My neighbors yard had about 8 saucer sized ones. I bought dinner for my neighbor, his wife my son and I Saturday night. It was well worth the effort put forth to clear up the back yard of tree stumps.

We all are sore, tired and recovering.

It was a job that is now done and on to any other tasks that can be completed before the weather gets too overly hot.

I just looked at VarietyVista and I did not see any listings.
    No listings at conecaonline.info

I typically use those two web sites to see if there is a match. Those sites offer decent photos of mintmark placements, making it easier for making a personal overlay.

With just a mint mark photo it can be a bit difficult to assess a coin. Some times it is good to add a full obverse and reverse to help with the assessment.

So, to the southern part of the mint mark on your coin, is that some sort of debris snuggled up against the mint mark ? It doesnt look like a scratch on that photo. For my coins that are not mint state, I use some very soft cloth, about the size of a pants pocket to remove loose debris from the coin. For mint state or proofs, I take a soft cloth and drag it over the top of the coin with no pressure applied. It can easily remove loose particles. Do this at your own risk.

I misplaced my rocket style photography duster. It does a pretty good job as well - less risky.

You can find a cheaper alternative. This is what one looks like. Its not the model I have/had.
