Sorry for putting two different coins on the same topic, but there was no easier way 20230623_045705_SM.jpg

In my opinion, this forum has been down this road before about a coin just like this.
If your so sure - I suggest sending in the coin and have it attibuted by an expert on varieties.
Jamez might remember this coin topic.

It was Onecent, Jon Miller who seen this beaten dead horse. I apologize for IDing the wrong staff member. Post is below... wait, it was posted two other times.
ground off 1957x2.JPG If the date was ground off and a new date engraved south of the previous date, would it look like this?
IMG_117.JPG Look at the G in GOD. It has the ODV-010 profile. Maybe a triple overdate and over mint mark as well. I think this is a retired San Francisco B/S die re-hubbed for the Denver mint.
I am not going to flog this dead horse again. Another on the ignore heap.Last edited by MintErrors; 02-27-2026, 12:33 AM.

This is the same coin under different lighting, and you can see the circle of the 6 under the cross bar of the 4, the curved bump out on the right side of the 7 is from the 2, and spikes from the bottom of the 7 that are in and through the bottom of the 8 wrapped up with heavy bilateral polish lines designed to keep people from finding them. Found them I have. In the first photo, identify the horizontal crack through the top of the 7 and it is right there in the top hole of the 8, then you can follow the 7 all the way down to its foot in the bottom hole of the 8.
