1969 S Lincoln-Unusual mint mark
I referenced Variety Vista to review mintmark styles for this year and I couldn't find what I have here. At first I thought it was a cud, but tilted there isn't one. It looks like an inverted "S." Pulled this from a mint set. Thoughts? You do not have permission to view this gallery.

In my opinion, it is best to have the date and mint mark close up as straight on as possible. This allows people to do an overlay or at least look at the position of the mint mark. The working dies that had the mint marks hammered into them prior to 1989 were positioned in slightly different locations. It is then possible to see if it matches up with a known, documented RPM.
I will add more opinions on this either late today or some time tomorrow.
