CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Is this site being monitored by someone at CONECA?

or is the site just for members to chat? Curious to find out if someone at CONECA views the "Attributions section" since there appears to be no activity there. The (edited) directions are as follows:

How to use the Attributions Forum

List an individual coin for Attribution in your Post. Create new posts for additional coins and do not add them to your post once it is answered. Submissions are looked at in the order they are received and additional coins added to your post will not be looked at.

Submitted coins will be viewed and responded to by CONECA Attributers and confirmed through this Forum thread. Only assigned Attributers to this Forum channel are able to comment on posts here and offer a CONECA opinion of your coin. This channel is not the appropriate place for public comments or opinions outside of our Attributers.

Once confirmed, instructions on where to send your coin(s) for further Attribution will be given through this Forum. Attribution fees are listed on our site and the Attributer will send the appropriate invoice.

I submitted a coin two weeks ago yet there appears to be no activity with it.

Is this site not functional anymore as far as attributions/examinations are concerned?

    Just curious, thx.

In my opinion, there are a few active CONECA staff members who are usually active behind the scenes in the examination and attribution forum areas.

I am not involved with CONECA, so your best course of action is to ask Jamez this question. Click on the link next to his name and send him a private message.

They are all volunteers. I cannot answer if some still work or how much time they spend on this website. If you cannot get ahold of Jamez, try eaxtellcoin .
