CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Unusual 1969s

    I just found this 1969 s. I see mechanical doubling I believe and there's a chunk missing from the back of his head with 2 big die cracks. Must of been a chipped die. I'm no pro but I believe that's what I got. Its at least worth 2 cents

        I can't see any die cracks or missing chunks on your photos, but when these dies strike thousands of coins, they do tend to deteriorate leaving chips and cracks. As far as your coin being worth 2 cents...I would think 1 cent is pretty much guaranteed.

            What is that picture supposed to show? I still don't see anything that would change my assessment at this point.
