CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • POCKET CHANGE AND NEED HELP

Just recently I was going through pocket change and found these items.

1996 D QUARTER OFF CENTER.jpg off- center quarter in very good shape

2017 P NICKLE ERROR UNDER E.jpg 2017 p nickel with what I believe is a blister under e in cents

1982 d cent.jpg 1982 d cent my first impression was that this was a damaged s but upon closer observation it appears to be a d. My first inclination was to write it off as damaged. Then I noticed there was no damage around the mm. Am I suffering from wishful thinking?

Please use a different post for each coin. It makes it easier for us to track it without confusion. However, as far as these coins go, your quarter is a misaligned die, not an off center.
Your nickel appears to have damage. There are no blisters on nickels that I am aware of.
The cent is definitely damage on the mint mark. I can see scraping and hits. If it happened early in the coins life and stayed in circulation, those areas of damage can sometime wear smooth.

        One coin per thread please.

The Jefferson could be a die chip below the E - or damage as Bob noted
