CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hi all... glad to be here...

I'm a computer telephony analyst at a utility company, hoping to retire in the near future if coin collecting pursuits can allow this, of course!

I'm also an amateur astronomer... travel archeological sites, was an amateur muscian, and of course do numismatics... primarily ancients.

Was president of the local astronomy club for about 4 years... and about 7 for the local coin club and on the Board of our local archeology club.

My interest in Mercury Dimes developed over the course of the Covid Pandemic, and I have a completed a Dansco album with an NGC AG3 for its empty 16-D slot... I also have, all in PCGS FB, from 31 to 45 (except not the 45 in FB)... and am working toward a full Mercury Variety set...Well, I also still need a 31-S in about 64+FB...

For references I have Cherrypickers Vol 1 and 2 in 4th addition and have on long time order Volume 2 in 6th edition, if it ever comes out!

I also have the Wexler/Flynn book and the Lange book, which I really enjoy... of course the VistaVariety site is an invaluable resource, which also directed me to this forum.

I hope to become a valuable member, but in the mean time hold my questions to only ones that may be valuable to others new to the varieties genre.

I am a member of the PCGS REGISTRY, and am hoping to get someone to comment on one of my sets so I can even that coveted extra 25 points.

    Thanx again and Clear Skies,
    Jeff
