You are correct. Technically, if all 1960D small dates were hubbed with the same Master Die that did have that doubling, then they would indeed all me doubled dies. The biggie here is that there would be so many millions and millions of them that there is no premium associated with them.Bob Piazza

Die chips can can be on many coins, a pretty common occurrence in the 50s 60s and 70s.Gary Kozera

Since the broken area is on the die, it would be transferred to all the coins struck. As the striking continues, more and more of the die will disintegrate in that area, leading to the die chip appearing larger on subsequent striking's.Bob Piazza
