Clipped washer
I found this clipped washer at work the other day. When you look at the side you can see that the original stamping cuts cleanly for about the first 25% then the cuts a bit ragged for the rest of the cut. You can see that this washer flipped upside down and was clipped on the 2nd hit because the shiny part is reversed. I'm hoping this info is applicable to coins as I have started to search for the clipped coins I know I have somewhere...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

The washer just flipped and got punched again. A clipped planchet is completely different. Its a planchet that was punched out of an area that was already punched from the sheet. When its a straight clip, it was punched out the edge of the sheet
