CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Is it possible no s mint mark proof lincoln from 1970

  • #2
    Just about anything is possible.
photos of the coin would be better.
Make sure the coin has not been altered, and/or polished.
The coin should be located within the USA
There are a lot of counterfeit coins out there, even in third party grading service holders

Photos should be less than 2mb in size. Try cropping them down, rather than leaving them raw. The size will more than likely be reduced.
You should be able to post 7 or 8 photos per post with the same amount per reply.
For photo pixel size, the usuable page size with is about 800 pixels.

Thanks for the pics. I was able to zoom in enough to make a call on your coin. Basically. your coin is not a proof coin. It is just a nicely struck business strike 1970P coin. The rims are not what you would see (squared off) on a proof coin either.
