CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1960 D LMC Lsarge date roll Bu all filled "R"

I got a bunch of older plastic tubed rolls of BU LMC from my LMC. He got them from a collection he bought. One of the rolls was labeled Filled R full roll. After having to use a hair dryer to get them out of the roll, they were indeed all 1960 D LMC with filled "R's". These were probably put in the tube back in the early 60's. These are not errors or varieties but it just amazes me sometimes what some on would save and set aside. Just wanted to share. And no there was no RPM's. They will be tubed and just put in my BU LCM collection. Just wanted to share this oddity.

Technically, it is an error. A lot of folks saved filled in letters (die chips) and 1960D had millions and millions of them. I think adding them to your collection is the right thing to do.
