CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Nina Otero Die Clash

    I found a Nina Otero die clash. I had 3 graded at ANACS. What is the process for getting credit for discovery?

        Getting credit is not really that big a deal, unless it is something extraordinary.

        Websites can list coins and give credit to the submitter, but honestly, there only several hundred people that might visit the site and less that pay attention to names that are credited for the photos. Sure, a pat on the back for finding something unique is good. But, it all depends who gets it listed first, if it is not too minor. Error collectors are hungry for new finds, since there has not been anything escaping the mint since say from 2002 or 2003 to present.

        What would be great is if the third party grading companies were more open to adding new discovery or other phrase that makes sense. Problem is, the top 3 grading companies rarely communicate with each other. So, they can be reluctant to add and " discovery" verbiage on labels these days...
