CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

It's pretty awesome to find anything that is uncommon in your area. For folks on the east coast, S mintmarked coins can be pretty scarce, whereas they are everywhere out on the west coast. Congrats on your finds. You will probably now be finding them everywhere :-)

Hey if it makes you happy, and learning takes place as well... nothing wrong with that.
I am sure you knew about S minted coins as they are all over the Lincoln cent series.

With hundreds of millions, if not billions of coins made each year, its only a matter of time that those coins get spread over the land. But its good to see a collector happy doing what they enjoy.

Hey guys first thank you very much for your advice and responses. And Honestly Mr. Kozera those 2 nickels are seriously the only ones I have ever seen down here in south Georgia. I have no reason to fib and most certainly despise a liar..(I didn't mean this to sound mean if it did)....That being said would any of the coins that I shown y'all be good enough to send to be graded? I do have some really Mint condition coins 40's 50' 60's etc. All of the coins that I have collected have been sitting in a big jar for years and have never been touched until this year. I know some for sure haven't in 18yrs. I value your opinion because I believe yall have been pretty honest with me. I really appreciate it guys...Y'all have a good weekend and I will check back to see what y'all said either today or tomorrow.

I thought every coin collector knew of the San Francisco mint. OK, OK, if you did not, no big deal. =)

I don't push people in any direction to or not to send in to be graded. That's a choice the owner needs research and decide whether it's for personal use and probably never sell the coin, or potentially try to eventually sell the coin.

I highly suggest you look at PCGS.com and go to the price guide area. See what those nickels are worth before you make a decision. I bet two coins, might cost close to 75.00 or more when all said and done.

I would suggest looking here and seeing that only MS examples might be worth some, but definitely weigh the costs versus value. You coins are heavily circulated.

I believe the 1970s and 1968s might fetch a dollar If these were uncirculated, in ms60:
