1970s nickel Mintmark

So I was going through some coin rolls from the bank and I we sorting , I noticed that these 2 1970s nickels mint marks weren’t even remotely close to one another , I’m a noob sorry I’m just curious if this is an error or if it’s just how things are with the mint mark so close to the rim and bust? Also does the one appear to be an rpm? Help please, thank you for your time

tbh, i don't have any specs nor have seen any governing mint standards as applied to mint mark/date positions and what constitutes an actual error BUT that being said, i would set the one close to the rim aside, unless i ended up seeing dozens or hundreds of them but even still then it is probably setting aside at the very least for a neat collection of far position mintmarks since the cost of holding it is face value.

If you go into variety vista.com and select JN double dies 1960-2003,,,you will see a selection for mintmark styles, go here. Then you will see a section for (San Francisco) S mint, then you scroll down to the one that shows 1970 and it will show you pictures for the different S’s and locations used for that year.

Thank you both for responding I didn’t think of variety vista. I did look I didn’t see any quite that low but surely they are all scattered to a degree.

I am setting it aside it is an oddity as far as I can tell I haven’t seen any quite so low. I thank you for your help
