    nice!

it is an interesting area and a bit of a deep study of transitional designs/dies vs reused.

that diagnostic seem to be one also for 09-s vdb authentication.

  • 1910 rev 1909 transitional reverse Lincoln Wheat Cent

March 19, 2023 while looking for more flaked alloy errors for 1910 on eBay I found a 1910 with the first reverse used in 1909. This reverse has the filled N referred to RDV-001 on Variety Vista but the transitional reverse seen on coppercoins listed as 1909P-1DR-008P. I have also written and published an article on this reverse. Currently there are only three specimens verified by myself. Two are which are owned by two other collectors. Dr. Wiles at Variety Vista is currently attributing it and assigning it a number. It will then go to ANACS for slabbing and the Discovery Coin notation added to the new attribution number. I look forward to validating more examples!
