CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1906 Indian Head

    Hi all
I have this coin, as it appears on it from some old relief. Is it of the copper type, and its weight is3 grams? I hope that you will help me and thank youز.

looks like a $1-2 coin to me. sometimes copper gets some odd color on it. maybe someone tried to plate it?

      I agree with Occunumis.

That is what we call an Indian Head cent. Originally it would have weighed 3.1 grams.
If it really has an off-white color to it, it was plated with some substance. (Paint, zinc, liquid mercury, etc)
