CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I thought this would be nothing.

Then I saw the strong tip at the end of the highest 2 tail. I saw then what might be the curving back of the 2.
It seems every thing but the strong tip was minimized on a hub. There was a strong leg attached to the back of the 2 but now it’s a minimized design hubbed against its original strong tip.

Most things we see on the surface of coins are the result of the, in some cases decades of circulation wear and PMD. If you are looking at a coins minted 5 years on up chances are very high, what could be found has been found. IMHO Op’s are looking too closely at inconsequential artifacts and anomalies that have nothing to do with Die Misshapes Pre Installation.
