In my opinion, this looks like a partial collar. From what I can see of the reeding on other parts of the coin, it does look sort of normal.
I've never seen a mis-aligned die (MAD) look like this, but technically - the definition fits.
Does the reeding look normal on the non-affected area of the coin ?
By the way.... PROOF errors can demand a significant premium. Thanks for that information. It shows clad proofs but not silver proofs. Silver proofs should be more rare then clad proofs. Also, the reading looks sheared from the die so much so that a sliver of it remains attached to the coin in a looping fashion attached at both ends.Last edited by Kingcoin; 02-25-2024, 03:10 AM.
