1943S 'steelie'
I'm not sure exactly what to call this a strike thru cloth, grease? It rather interesting to say the least and not a bad looking 'S' steelie either considering 85%+ are damaged in some form or another due to metal content from WW2 as we all know correct? The reverse looks normal. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

In my opinion, it looks like whatever it is, is on top of the coin. It may be a thin layer of material, like glue, wax or other almost clear liquid. This to me does not look like a Struck through grease. It does not appear blotchy and it looks like its not indented into the coin.Last edited by MintErrors; 06-22-2024, 01:05 PM.Gary Kozera
