CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    This 1938P nickel has a clip at 12pm on obv and what looks like a delamination starting on obv at 7pm?

    idk why but it looks a lil sus to me.

    i don't recall seeing a clip that is bigger on one side but at the same spot on the other side is very different.

    do see the spot where the blakesley "is" but looks sus to me too?

    maybe just the quality of images?

    perhaps there are clips known. kinda like how we get title collars. maybe tilted clips? or when the stock is getting punched, there is a spot where this effect is prone to happen?
