    1955D Wheat Back Error?

Please look at the tip of the wheat sheaf on the left and there seems to be an extra tip. This can be seen clearly without the loop. Is this rare or unusual? Thanks for your responses

I would say unusual and it does look like an extra tip. I tried to magnify the picture to see exactly what it was, but lost it around the 300 X mark. It does appear to be some sort of die chip that is similar in shape to the wheat ear tip, but that is all I can tell.

I'm thinking maybe a lamination type error?
