CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1958 Lincoln

This UNC 1958 RD Lincoln has a mustache from bagmark maybe and what is a die chip stuck on obv rim. It also has a planchet defect with pockmarks on both sides. What looks like a strike thru below the neck from the N in CENT.
A keeper or coin jar prospect I found 3 simular to this roll surfing in same roll?

The area below the chin of Lincoln is a hot spot for die clashes.

The spot near the rim might be just a loose copper fragment. Since it looks like the photo was taken with a high magnification. It looks pretty minor.

Not sure what that is on the photo, on the reverse, below the right wheat stalks.

The area around the date might be a strike through, but it's difficult to tell. It affects the field and the rim area.
