CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    In my opinion, it was pretty common to see the head cracks on Lincolns.
    As collectors search for errors and varieties in this day and age I personally believe there will be a shift in what they consider collectible, since a lot of the significant errors simply do not escape the mint. Obviously this is an older coin, but it might be collectible to several collectors. I toss them into my bargain bin. I have not seen these in any auction, unless they have a significant variety attached to it.

        It sure does, even the hook above the eye. I didn't even think of looking there on cuds-on-coins.com BUT will next time. I'll chalk this one up to a DUH green guy moment thanks for the info and for not slammin' me for missing it.
