1999-D quarter Pennsylvania cracked planchet
Wondering if this would be a cracked planchet or a struck through. I would figure it being a struck through of something but just wanted to be sure. Going back and forth doing some research so I finally put on here for your opinion.thanks PXL_20250105_231641651.jpg PXL_20250105_231834570.jpg PXL_20250105_231843605.jpgTags: None

a strike through.
there is a good chance it was a piece of the rim/edge seeing how that area looks to be missing a bit of plating, which isn't uncommon on these quarters, esp on the rim/edge.
not terribly valuable, though we're not supposed to discuss value here, i will say IF it still had the piece it was struck through as retained and/or still attached to the rim (if that is what was struck through), it would be a VERY neat piece indeed.coinfacts.com - conecaonline.info - board.conecaonline.org/forum/numismatic-site-links - briansvarietycoins.com - coppercoins.com - cuds-on-coins.com - doubleddie.com - error-ref.com - franklinlover.yolasite.com - ikegroup.info -lincolncentresource.com - maddieclashes.com - money.org - ngccoin.com/price-guide/world - ngccoin.com/census - ngccoin.com/resources/counterfeit-detection - nnp.wustl.edu - pcgs.com/pop - pcgs.com/coinfacts - pcgs.com/photograde - varietyvista.com - vamworld.com
