CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Is this a one of a kind?

Die breaks on a dual dated Ike type one reverse,D mint mark. With what appears to be toned rings around them. Some rusty coloring with blue. Has anyone else found a similar one? Retained die breaks?

Thank you, the Ike dollar slides easily in the mint package. Also the blue circles are incused and the metal inside the blue is raised

To me, if they are raised they might be struck through fragments?

Error coins are typically unique in their own way. BUT that does not mean every one will bring a substantial premium.

The https://error-ref.com website is back up, and under their completed entries one might be able to find the answer.

Could it be struck through retained clad fragment? . Thanks again for sending me in the correct direction. There's definitely a lump visible in the hair and above the eye.

is it possible for you to either merge 3 threads (see my links above) or delete 2 of the threads so the conversation isn't spread around like this?
