1936 1c Satin

While ago...I ordered 1936 and I was hoping for DDO or something like that but I received rare Satin and learned my lesson...don’t open mail packages etc. 2AM right after coming from the bar...I touched damn thing....what a error.

I don't see anything that makes me think this is a satin proof coin. What about the coin make you think it is? There are supposedly only 500-600 examples out there that were spent as regular money.

I compared mine to some graded 36s....and here we are....my “comparing” might be off....Thank You.

Afraid I have no idea where you are going with any of this. In addition, you should not have more than 1 coin per post.

FYI...Early strike coins often appear bright and shiny with proof like appearances at times. That does not make any of these satin finish coins. You need to read up on ALL of the diagnostics of special coins. If you are sure at that point, the you can send them to a third party grading service. Remember, we are giving you our opinion based on your photos. It is very difficult to do meticulous examinations with photos alone.

...i am not trying to be a “pain”.....I appreciate your opinion....I am far from a some “pro coin guy”...I am not “dumb” about coins ether....
...so you asked me “what makes me think..it is satin and you can acquire something from only 500-600 that is out there”
....i compared to the picks of already graded 36s ...satin and regular strike....I didn’t go trough “diagnostics”...I know, it’s hard to make a opinion just a from looking at picks...thanks.

...btw...besides of different planchets....and regardless of environmental effects on the coin and worn out dies...you still going to be able to distinguish strikes from each other....

Very well. If you believe it is what you say it is, then I am not going to change your mind. I never said, or even suggested that you were dumb about coins. If you are going to make claims that it is a satin, then you very well should do the diagnostics . You HAVE to do diagnostics. That is the ONLY way to show it is what you say it is. Just comparing it to another picture is not enough. I deal with hundreds of folks who think they have the best coins, and that's OK.

Remember that you posted your coin(s) here and asked for opinions. That is exactly what I gave you. If you can't take someone's questions or opinions, then maybe you shouldn't post here.

I am really close to simply not allowing grading questions or issues related to coins being an old proof.

This is a Mint error and variety forum. I cannot and will not help with grading questions or make a determination on proofs. The way to answer these questions is to have a 1936 or later satin proof IN HAND and compare it. The same with having PCGS graded coin IN HAND and compare them to what you have. Using the photos from PCGS has limited value.
