CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

We need to let the cent attributions open up before coins can be sent in. I may not be the one who looks at your coin. As far as this being MD, I would say there is a 50 - 50 chance it is. I have seen many of these over the years that required a great deal of examination to properly determine which it was. These can be tricky.

I'd be happy to send it to you if you'd like. That said, I'm guessing the odds are it's MD.

Just because this is so similar to quite a number of other verified pennies, I think it may be doubling though probably too minor to list. Note that there is a listing for a similar doubling on the other side of the memorial. The top of left post and the top stairs of bays 1 and 2 and possible bay 3 are all involved.
