  • 1977 Washington Quarter with strange dent!

This 1977 quarter has a massive deep dent on the obverse. I almost threw it in the change jar because I would consider this post damage but something kept telling me to hang on to it because of how strange the reverse looks with these ripples going around the protrusion. Also the part that's dented has weird micro pits in it. What do y'all think? KIMG0190.JPG KIMG0189.JPG

It is obviously post mint damage. There isn't anything in the minting/striking process that would do this to a coin.
