CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    would this be a dye crack on the back coming up from top of the D in dime going up threw the bottom of the torch

      now why is it not listed on variety page like all the others coin shop says its a dye crack like you say thank you

        It is not listed on a variety page because it is not a variety. A die (not dye) crack is pretty common and they are called errors. Most are never listed anywhere. As the die continues to strike coins, the die crack changes and gets more pronounced.
