1994 Lincoln Cent
I just got this in my change yesterday. Not sure whether it's a die clash or a multiple die break cuds. ????? First instinct said die clash.

Could have been that a small nick took in some water and the zinc core started to corrode. It is a very fast process once it starts. The possibility of it being a planchet flaw is also possible, but looking at your coin makes me think it was a post strike occurrence. The anomalies you see near the L of LIBERTY are all part of this issue.Bob Piazza
