CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    This is one of many clipped planchets I have. I don’t know if they’re best kept in a collection, or authenticated, graded and sold.

    You may want to take a look at completed auction data to see what kind of prices they bring, and if spending the money to authenticate and grade them is financially feasible.
    In my experiences, and time you list a group of anything, they tend to lose value. If you have an idea of what you would like for the coin, put a reserve on it and try to sell it. Otherwise, it is just a decision you have to make based on your needs.
