  • 1935 Lincoln Planchet error?

This is a well worn 1935 Lincoln cent. The abnormalities match up front to back but do not penetrate through the coin. I'm thinking planchet error? would anyone agree. If yes can you elaborate with the appropriate material defect name? Thanks!

Definitely damage. I have seen similar anomalies caused by firing BBs at the coin, or striking it with a tool or something else but not hard enough to go through it.

Thanks gentlemen. I have another penny that is likely damaged that I will post in another thread. Thanks in advance for your input.
